Immersions

This forward thinking, exclusive Britton Rx immersive wellness and self care program, 8 hours weekly, is predicated on the axiom that wellness and self care are learned and practicable skills. The aim is to return to a feeling of wholeness and power by developing good reasoning skills and physical activities that override self-harming behavior of any kind.  Trauma, which includes addiction disorder, creates multiple tissue-held patterns of survival which must be unwound once the original experience is faced. Those survival patterns become compulsive destructive behaviors unless they are revised through new practices.

The Britton Rx immersion takes place twice a week for a period of 3 months; Or once a week for 8 hours over a period of 2 months. Two to three months provides for the phasic changes which occur in order for old unmanageable habits to be revealed, new habits to be practiced and finally, a solid systematic shift and transformation of impulses. The length and duration of time is based on the needs of the individual.

The Britton Rx immersion is brilliant for people who want to progressively and successfully use their trauma scars (no matter what the source). It’s for those who want an experience beyond talk therapy, who have not had success with rehabs or institutions, are uninterested in 12-step meetings, need a boost to 12-step work, people of any age and any walk of life who feel disenfranchised by traditional trauma and recovery therapy programs.

A Britton Rx immersion can also be conducted with two to four people.

Britton RX Trauma Transformation Systems focuses on solutions in 4 categories:

·      Physical activity and esteemable routines: Biochemistry and neurological systems are shifted and changed through rigorous activity and methodical routines. This is fundamental to rerouting trauma response platforms which create a terrifying frozen state and multiple physical anomalies. Activity and routine are the simplest route to a return to alignment in the body. Life can be faced well when these are in place.

·      Psychosomatic Bodywork: This is talk and tissue therapy which releases the extreme physical tension that lives in the body as invisible memory of trauma. It is done on a massage table and uses talk, visualization, breathwork and manual manipulation.

·      Yogic Therapy: Breathwork sealed by postures has an immediate revisional effect on complusive thought patterns, which are the result of trauma response. These bring us right into the present moment so we can address difficult feelings and diffuse them.

·      Personal Inventory & Relational Reinvention: Self and others. Our relational capacities are robbed as a result of misaligned with present reality. One of the key transformative elements of relational awareness and change is inventory—the capacity to see our assets and liabilities. Written inventory is an ancient practice which is profoundly illuminating and shifts and changes all our relationships.  This skill and practice becomes a life-long benefit as we evolve.
